A Fantastic Family Gift

So , I was actually a recipient of a great family gift this weekend. My brother and his wife called and gave us tickets to see Sesame Street LIVE. My kids will LOVE this! If you are looking for a great family gift, this one definitely hit the spot!

Tickets can be wonderful gifts so long as you can keep to your budget. If you don't live near a city a small dinner theater can also do the trick. What makes a Thoughtful Gift?

Being my first post I thought it would be good to define exactly what makes a thoughtful gift.

Thoughtful Gift - a gift that the recipient would never ask or purchase for themselves but, will bring value or meaning to their everyday life.

Present - that emergency item that you wrapped in the car on the way to the gathering which may create clutter in the recipient's home or in a landfill. Do NOT give "Presents".

Home Made Gift - a gift you purchased materials for and created with your time and hands that also fits the description of Thoughtful Gift

We all get time constrained occasionally; but, with proper organization we can try to avoid this as much as possible. Strive to always give Thoughtful Gifts that are tailored for the receiver. To do this you will need a calendar of some kind. I use a PDA. This is not for everyone, it's just what I use. If you already have a calendar in place for this that will always do the trick. The key is to look at it!

So, what do you do when you are in a crazy hurry?

Here are a few gift card suggestions to get you through those rushed moments and make you look like a genius. Thoughtful gifts in a hurry:
